2022 USA-Taiwan AI+ Smart Manufacturing International Online Conference

Purpose of the Conference

■ Seeking to advance the transformation and upgrade of Taiwan’s industry, establish novel commercial models with sustainable development, and add new momentum to economic growth, the Executive Yuan has proposed 5+2 innovative industries plan, with the focus “To grow with the local power, to tap into the international markets, to shine for a promising future”, serving as a guideline for all sectors to follow and evolve for next generation.

■ The Smart Machinery Development Program is an important policy to upgrade local precision machinery into smart machinery for industries, initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2016. With the Government-Industry-University-Institute collaboration, the program aims to realize the visions of “Industrialization of smart machinery” and “Industry adoption of smart machines.”

■ To follow government policies and facilitate interlinks between the industry chain and supply chain of global smart manufacturing markets with the added value of AI, Smart Machinery Promotion Office is partnering with TAIA to host various international events. The event this September aims to advocate technology excellence, encourage potential commercial opportunities, and realize bilateral cooperation in any possible form, between European and Taiwan AI industries. Taiwan aspires to become a trustworthy partner for the European supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem in the coming future.
